California Legislative Women’s Caucus Endorses Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria For State Senate
The influential caucus joins a rapidly expanding coalition supporting Soria’s campaign for State Senate
MERCED, CA – Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria has earned the endorsement of the California Legislative Women’s Caucus, a bipartisan coalition of women serving in the California Assembly and Senate who champion policies that strengthen economic security, defend access to health care, and safeguard fundamental freedoms amid mounting threats from the current administration.
“The Democratic Legislative Women’s Caucus is proud to endorse Assemblymember Soria because she understands that strong communities start with access to healthcare and opportunity while also protecting women and families. Her public service record showcases that, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with her in Sacramento,” said Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, Assembly Majority Leader and Chair of the California Democratic Legislative Women’s Caucus.
Assemblymember Soria has earned a reputation as a consistent and effective advocate for women’s rights throughout her time in public service. As a Fresno City Councilmember and now in the State Assembly, she has prioritized access to affordable healthcare, childcare, universal pre-K, education and investing in women leadership development.
“I am honored to be endorsed by the California Legislative Women’s Caucus,” said Assemblymember Soria. “Their commitment to building better lives for women is commendable. I will continue to fight for women’s rights in the Senate.”
The endorsement adds to a growing list of organizations working to support the well being of women and girls who are backing Soria’s campaign, including the United Nurses Associations of California (UNAC/UHCP), California Federation of Teachers, and others. Soria has also secured endorsements from Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas, Attorney General Rob Bonta, and more than 100 state legislators and local leaders across Fresno, Merced, and Madera Counties.
