Central Valley Building and Construction Trades Endorse Esmeralda Soria for State Senate
Fresno, Madera, Kings & Tulare Counties Building and Construction Trades Council backs Soria’s record of standing with workers
MERCED, CA – Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria today announced the endorsement of the Fresno, Madera, Kings & Tulare Counties Building and Construction Trades Council, reinforcing her campaign’s strong support from labor and working families across Senate District 14.
Representing thousands of skilled workers across the region, the Council’s endorsement reflects Soria’s long-standing commitment to good-paying union jobs, fair labor practices, and infrastructure investment that puts Valley residents to work.
“I’m incredibly proud to have the support of the Central Valley’s building and construction trades,” said Soria. “These are the workers who build our communities, drive local economies, and fight every day for dignity and opportunity. I’ve stood with them throughout my career—and in the Senate, I’ll continue to be a champion for the trades and for all working families across the Valley.”
Soria’s record includes supporting Project Labor Agreements (PLAs), workforce development programs, and budget investments that prioritize local hiring and career pathways in construction and skilled trades. As a Fresno City Councilmember and now in the Assembly, she has worked closely with labor to secure resources and advance policies that create jobs and strengthen communities.
This endorsement joins a growing coalition backing Soria’s campaign, including educators, local elected officials, public safety leaders, and colleagues in both the State Senate and Assembly.
