Law Enforcement Rallies Behind Esmeralda Soria In Race for Assembly District 27
California Correctional Peace Officers Association are the latest high profile statewide law enforcement organization to back Soria for Assembly District 27
FRESNO, CA – Today, Fresno City Councilwoman and Fresno City College Adjunct Professor Esmeralda Soria announced that the California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA) has endorsed her candidacy for Assembly. In announcing their support for Councilwoman Soria, the State President of CCPOA, Glen Stailey, had the following to say:
“Esmeralda Soria will make a terrific addition to the State Assembly. She is committed to making sure that our members receive the support that they need while performing a very difficult job and we believe she’ll be responsive to victims of crime as she continues to protect the safety of our neighborhoods. CCPOA is proud to endorse Soria for Assembly.”
California Correctional Peace Officers Association is the latest high profile statewide law enforcement organization to back Esmeralda Soria. In recent weeks, the California Coalition of Law Enforcement Associations endorsed Soria – joining a broad coalition of labor, business, local elected officials, and more backing Esmeralda Soria for Assembly District 27.

It consists of portions of Merced, Fresno, and Madera Counties and includes the cities of Fresno, Coalinga, Kerman, San Joaquin, Merced, Mendota, Dos Palos, Madera, Los Banos, Firebaugh, Huron, Atwater, Chowchilla, and Livingston.
